ViewBatch — GLB Review Packs

Review a batch of models without opening every file

ViewBatch is a free early-access Blender add-on for people receiving GLB models from suppliers or collaborators. Generate consistent views and give a colleague one local HTML review pack.

Open the real example review pack in your browser — inspect the chair, lamp and intentionally failed input before installing.

• Front, three-quarter, side and back PNGs with automatic framing.
• A clickable contact sheet grouped by source model.
• Material-slot inventory, source/settings fingerprints and clear per-file failures.
• Load previous render settings and set a camera front offset.
• Render selected geometry or a folder of self-contained GLBs.

Install and use

Keep the ZIP zipped. In Blender open Edit → Preferences → Add-ons → Install from Disk, select the ZIP and enable ViewBatch. In Object Mode press N in the 3D View and open ViewBatch. Choose inputs, output folder and views, then Render review pack. Open index.html in the resulting folder.

Tested on Blender 5.2.1 LTS for Windows. Other releases and operating systems are unverified. Full guide and GPL-3.0-or-later source are included. Runs locally inside Blender without an account, API key or network service.

What to expect

Folder input accepts self-contained GLB 2 files with embedded resources. Only the declared default scene is rendered; ambiguous multiple scenes and unreadable images fail explicitly. ViewBatch uses imported materials and a simple studio; it does not repair meshes, create new materials or promise photographic matching. Check your first output and warnings. The example chair and lamp are original synthetic models.

Optional first-batch setup — A$99

For up to 10 self-contained GLBs: compatibility review, agreed views/settings, one review pack, reusable settings and one scoped settings adjustment/rerun. Inputs, file sizes, deliverables, timing and payment arrangements are agreed before accepting work. Mesh repair, animation and custom material creation are outside this pilot.
